Novomatic is a huge name in the online and land-based gaming industry with a long history. Founded in 1980, Novomatic began producing slot machines. In 2009, Novomatic’s ASTRA Games division partnered with Chartwell Technology to offer all the Novomatic games online. Astra Games additionally acquired Greentube – another big name in the online gaming industry. Through Greentube, Novomatic became a gaming provider as well as a provider of online games.

In 2014, Novomatic acquired Dazzletag Entertainment Limited (through Greentube). This acquisition gave Novomatic a reasonably strong presence in the online bingo market, as Dazzletag created their own bingo software (b-live gaming).
